Doctor’s Best Hyal-Joint Overall Review: 3 out of 5.
Hyaluronic acid is found in all the tissues in our bodies. The synovial fluid that bathes our joints is where it can be found in its most concentrated form – as well as in the vitreous fluids of the eyes and in our skin. One of its most important functions is to help the body retain water. It also helps to provide nutrients and remove waste from the cells that do not get a direct supply of blood. This is the case with cartilage. If cartilage cells do not get enough hyaluronic acid, essential nutrients do not make it into the cartilage cells; therefore, harmful waste cannot be moved out of the cells, causing a potential host of problems.
Hyaluronic acid also composes part of the skin matrix. If there is a decrease in the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, this can cause the skin to change; it can result in the skin becoming thin, cause it to prematurely age and become dry and brittle.
Users are directed to take two pills two times a day for at least one month. After that, users may reduce their dosage to one pill twice a day for approximately one month. After this second period, they may take a maintenance dose of one pill each day. It is preferred that all doses are taken with full glasses of water.
